Egypt – Israel – Jordan
Day 01
Cairo
Arrival at Cairo International Airport. Meet and assist by the local tour guide and bus driver. If the time permits, we will take you to the Egyptian museum where you can see the finest displays of artifacts – relics, statues and jewels from the ancient Egyptian civilization. Transfer to your hotel in Cairo for dinner and overnight. ( If you will arrive in the afternoon then we will postpone the program to the next day).
Day 02
Cairo
After breakfast, we will drive to Giza Area in Cairo to visit the Pyramids and the Sphinx. After then we will go to visit the Church of the Virgin Mary – St. George Coptic Church – St. Sergius Church and the Citadel. Later on, we will take you to visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar for shopping. In the evening we will have dinner on the cruise boat at the Nile river with a belly dancing show. Back to the hotel
Day 03
Cairo - Taba
Check out the hotel. Leaving Cairo and heading to Suez Canal to cross over to move ourselves to the Sinai peninsula to visit Moses Springs and the burning bush and Mount Sinai where the Ten Commandments were given to Moses in the area of St. Catherine. Then drive to our hotel in Taba ( nearby the border between Egypt and Israel) for dinner and overnight.
Day 04
Taba – Jericho – Bethlehem
Check out after breakfast and drive to the TABA border to cross into Israel. The first city you will come to is EILAT/Ezion Geber (1 Kings 9:26). Roland’s Ice Cream Stop along the way. We will have our lunch here. The drive continues passing Masada and Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, before arriving at the Baptismal site where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist (John 1:28, Mt 3:13 17). Israelites crossed into the Promised Land (Josh 3). There will be baptism and renewal of vows to follow Jesus here. Next, we will drive into JERICHO, the Oldest City in the world. This was the first city conquered by Joshua after crossing the Jordan River into the Promised Land (Josh 5:13- 6:27). We will also see the old sycamore tree (Luke 19:1-10). We will also be able to view the MT. OF TEMPTATIONS. Drive-up through Jerusalem to Bethlehem and check into our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Note: It is possible to stay in a hotel in Jerusalem depends on your wish.
Day 05
Bethlehem – Jerusalem – Bethlehem
After breakfast, we will drive to Jerusalem to ST. ANNE’S Church and the POOL OF BETHESDA (Jn.5:7-9). Next, we will follow the VIA DOLOROSA (Way of the Cross), starting from ANTONIA’S FORTRESS. We will continue to the Garden Tomb. After lunch, we will drive to MT ZION (Ps 48:1-2) to ST. PETER’S INGALICANTU, the house of Caiaphas, the High Priest, where Jesus was imprisoned (Mt 26:30-35) and the place where Peter denied Jesus three times - the UPPER ROOM - KING DAVID’S TOMB. Then walk down to visit the WESTERN WALL before going back to Bethlehem. Return to the hotel for dinner and rest.
Day 06
Bethlehem – Jerusalem – Bethlehem
After breakfast visit the GROTTO in the CHURCH OF NATIVITY, the birthplace of Jesus (Lk 2:6-7). Then we will visit Shepherd’s Field where the angel brought the Good News. Today’s lunch is in Bethlehem. After lunch, we will drive to JERUSALEM to the Mt. of Olives to visit PASTER NOSTER, where Jesus taught His disciples how to pray (Mt 6:9) and the CHAPEL OF ASCENSION where Jesus ascended to Heaven (Mt 24 & 25). We will walk down PALM SUNDAY Walk to DOMINUS FLEVIT CHURCH (Mt 23:37-39), where Jesus wept over Jerusalem, ending at the GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE. Later on, we will walk through the WESTERN WALL TUNNEL (time may change depending on the time given to us). Return back to the hotel and rest.
Day 07
Bethlehem – Jerusalem – Jaffa – Caesarea - Mt. Carmel - Nazareth
Check out after breakfast to the GARDEN TOMB for communion. Depart from Jerusalem and drive down Abu Gosh to visit a Messianic kibbutz and their Biblical Garden. We will hear from a local guide about the lessons we may learn from this garden. Have lunch here and then to the ancient city of JAFFA where Peter raised up Dorcas from the dead (Acts 9:36), where Solomon brought in the wood from Lebanon (2Ch 2:16) and where Jonah took off to Tarshish (Jonah 1:3). Driving north, we go to visit stop by and visit the ROMAN AQUEDUCTS at CAESAREA MARITIME. This was the capital of Israel during the Romans rule during the time of Jesus and His disciples. Next we will be in HAIFA for lunch. From here, we go to MT. CARMEL/MURAKKHA where Elijah defeated the false prophets (1King 18:20-40). Driving pass MEGIDDO (the City of Chariots) where many battles took place (2Ch 9:25, 1 Kings 9:15), we will go to NAZARETH and check into our hotel in time for dinner and rest.
Day 08
Nazareth – Cana - Sea of Galilee – Nazareth
After breakfast, heading to Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed the first miracle at a wedding feast (Jn 2:1-11). Couples may renew their marriage vows here. Later on, drive to the Sea of Galilee Area to sail on Jesus boat replica to remember Jesus with his disciples - visit the ancient city of CAPERNAUM where Jesus performed many miracles (Lk 4:31-37, Mt 8:5-13) and to the house of Peter’s mother-in-law. Next, visit the CHURCH OF THE PRIMACY, where Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection (Jn 21:15-19) and to TABGHA, the place where Jesus fed the crowd of 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread and two fishes (Jn 6:1-5). Next, drive to MT. OF BEATITUDES where Jesus taught His followers (Mt. 5:1-12). Stop for a lunch of St. Peter’s Fish. Return to NAZARETH to visit the VILLAGE created to go back to the time of Jesus to see how He would have lived and the implements that were used at that time. We will visit the CHURCH OF ANNUNCIATION where Mary received the “Good News” from the angel Gabriel (Lk 1:26-38). Overnight in Nazareth.
Day 09
Nazareth – Petra
Check out after breakfast and transfer to SHEIK HUSSEIN BRIDGE for crossing into the HASHEMITE Kingdom of JORDAN. Drive south towards Petra. Lunch will be on the way. In our way, we will visit Mt. Nebo and Madaba Church to see the beautiful mosaic of the map of Jerusalem from the 6th century. Check-in your hotel in Petra.
Day 10
Petra - Amman
Check out the hotel and visit the ancient Nabatian city of Petra – the Siq and the red rock. Later on, we continue to Amman the capital of Jordan to visit the ancient Roman city of Philadelphia. Check-in your hotel in Amman.
Day 11
Check out the hotel and transfer to “Alia International Airport “ for your flight back home.
